SPACE MUNGLERS COMPETITION!
That’s right, folks – the first guybass.competition!
HOW TO ENTER:
Write your very own SPACE MUNGLERS story! Your story can feature all or some of the SPACE MUNGLERS, and even introduce new characters and situations. Use the cards as a starting point to decide which Munglers you want to use, and what happens in your tale. Remember, Munglers are always in competition!
Entries should be no more than 400 words. Unfortunately, entries cannot be returned. Please include your name and contact details (email or postal address) so Guy can get in touch if you win!
Simply hand in your entries at your local participating libraries! No stamp required!
PRIZES:
The overall winner will receive a signed collection of 5 of Guy Bass’s books, plus a whole load of other goodies – and will have your story featured on this website! Other winners will receive a signed Guy Bass book and Mungler poster.

THE STORY SO FAR…
The Munglers are the most monstrous monsters London has ever seen! They love reading, roaring, mungling (whatever that is!) and eating things they probably shouldn’t.
They’re constantly in competition to see who is the most monstrous, and they don’t; care who gets in the way. In fact, they’ve caused so much mayhem that they’ve almost wrecked London! There’s only one thing for it – send them into outer space! But hopping around the galaxy won’t; stop them trying to out-mungle each other – these mischievous monsters are more competitive than ever!
The SPACE MUNGLERS TRUMPS cards are only available in selected London libraries. Sign up for the 2010 Summer Read and get SPACE MUNGLERS TRUMPS cards every time you read a book! If you’re in London, check with your local library to find out if you can join the fun! Collect, swap and play SPACE MUNGLERS TRUMPS with your friends!

HOW TO PLAY SPACE MUNGLERS TRUMPS
Any number of people can play. Shuffle and deal all the cards face down. Each player holds their cards, face up, in the palm of their hand. Players can only look at their top card.
The player to the dealer’s left starts by reading out a value from the top card (e.g., Size = 15). The other players then read out the same value. The one with the best or highest value wins and places all the top cards including their own to the bottom of the pile. It is then their turn to choose a value from the next card.
If two or more cards share the top value the cards are placed in the middle and the same player chooses again from the next card. The winner of the hand takes the cards in the middle as well.
The person with all the cards at he ends is the winner!
